Waxing Pre & Post

Before your wax appointment

Allow your hair to grow at least 1/4 of an inch.

Do not shave or trim area no matter how long hair is

Avoid caffeine and alcohol.

Take a ibuprofen or tylenol before your appointment 

Avoid any oils/lotions on the area to be waxed.

Exfoliate the day of your wax.

You must wait at least two weeks after shaving

After Care 

For the next 24 to 48hrs after your wax these are things you should avoid:

Don't take a hot bath or shower

Don't sunbathe

Don't use tanning beds or saunas

Don't wear tight fitting clothing

Don't use any perfume products

Don't touch or rub waxed area

Don't exfoliate or use any deodorants 

Do not shave in between waxes

After 48hrs EXFOLIATE, EXFOLIATE, EXFOLIATE!!! Stay moisturized! Stay consistent with your wax appointments every 4 weeks!

Exfoliation is the key!!!

Exfoliate at least 48 hrs after your wax this will help ingrowns. And 2-3 times a week after that to be effective. You can use an exfoliating glove, sugar, or salt scrub.

 

Common Side Effects

You will possibly experience bumps, irritation, and/or redness in the waxed area and should typically last no more than 72 hours. 

Waxing can cause the skin to peel.

Waxing is a process and you need to give the skin time to get use to getting waxed.
